it wasn't nearly to this extent, but i was disappointed when i saw it xD it was like he was wearing armor with open parts on the (non-bulging) stomach and hair was visible, dark and thick. it must be inspired by another game i'm playing - FFX. this looked like hair to me on a CRT, but i guess not!

well yeah, i'm in the biggest PAL territory, let's just say that :/ i should try to check it out. there's lots of s-video capable sets with a din connector being sold. from old Japanese sets to LG flatrons

i've had a few versions of a Breath of the Wild sequel in my dreams, this last one has Link 6 years later with a hairy stomach showing through... also he's wall-running now. and Keanu Reeves learned from the fights in the game

i never beat the actual sequel :D

Pretty amazed that zack polanski straight up, genuinely defended trans women to piers morgan on his tv show. Can't recall the last time I saw a politician do more than just a soundbite and walk away from it.

yeah, that's how it looked when i blissfully unaware plugged the component cables into my PC CRT's BNCs. the cables are red green and blue, right? :D

for me, there's a limited use for component, of course. maybe that one time an NTSC game doesn't like being put into PAL60 (Terminator 3 on GameCube). i could try setting up s-video instead. there's an unused chroma pin. all of the filtering is on the chip itself, very tight design. but yeah.

okay, so i kept trying to get component into my TV that seemingly supports it, but there must be something else going on. i'll leave all the detail in alt text

1. the setup options. RGB/YUV support
2. what happens to RGB with YUV mode
3. component or not..?
4. signs of life? remove composite?

you can see that the tv does in fact support YUV or RGB along the same lines

very green Wii menu. hmm. what does that even mean? my first thought was back to when a game outputs NTSC, and it means RGB lines get switched out for Luma. it would be very red instead of very green, because the Chroma line shares the Red line. and sync is derived from composite. but what is even going on in this case?

then i went, okay, let's try component! simple adapter for component cables on the same lines doesn't get picked up. Luma does display if you stick it into composite hole - as pristine black & white image. "okay, maybe it needs the AV switch from the 5V line." i added the component mode bridged pins into the connector, so that my normal SCART RGB became a component cable with extra stuff like 5V and composite.

well, it didn't get picked up, either, but now i get weird out-of-sync-feeling lines rolling upwards if i open the service menu. maybe i should've lifted the composite line? the signal is confirmed 480i/576i, tried both.

In Roger Bacon's room, the party is attacked by what seems to be a mundane black cat, but this feline holds an arcane surprise. This may be my favorite CRT photo I've ever taken.

You should play the first two Popolocrois games. Yes, even if you've played the PSP one that smooshes them both together. So much was missing there, and the originals are super-lovely. 2 is one of my favourite PS1 RPGs, and that's high praise!
