Either way, American politics is exerting undue influence on the prize overall and that in and of itself is bad. The Nobel Prize should not be being awarded within the context of one country’s politics.

I’m wondering why the Norwegians seem genuinely shook right now and it dawned on me that they have a heavy fishing economy like Venezuela and Trump has shown 4 times now that he has no qualms with unilaterally striking boats. They’re probably genuinely worried about their fishermen right now.

It just dawned on me that one of the reasons the Norwegians are likely genuinely shook rn is that Norway, like Venezuela, has a significant fishing economy, and thus many boats in its near international waters that could fall prey to the angry dictator. It’s not an empty threat as proven 4 times now
