When Jews become Nazis, they start parroting old racial antisemitic beliefs about the pathologically diseased Jewish body, but turning them onto themselves.
Katie Miller claims Stephen Miller's genes are making her sick:

"Why have I been more nauseous this pregnancy, had more eczema? It's because it's more of my husband's genetic makeup than mine in this baby."

I love my country.

I refuse to stop. The hope I have found in a very difficult year is that love is the light that gets you through a long night.

If a progressive wins the primary, vote Democratic in November.

If a moderate wins the primary, vote Democratic in November.

If a socialist wins the primary, vote Democratic in November.

Really. Vote for any D over any R.

Remember when people got hella fucking pissed when they couldn't vote in the 2016 primaries and blamed "The DNC" for it and not the fact that they weren't registered Democrats and they were trying to vote in a closer primary?
Good times.

The idea that the Chamber of Commerce is "left-wing" is beyond insane. It is completely disconnected from reality. Chamber of Commerce was to the right of Reagan.
libs getting the chamber of commerce in the national divorce, sure, why not, welcome aboard

In fairness, this has to be counterbalanced by the fact that Nader intentionally throwing the election to Bush also led to hundreds of thousands of dead people all over the world
Re suicide bombing: Nader voters in 2000 voted for him in part because they agreed w/him there was too much corporate $$ influencing elections. He renegs on promise not to campaign in Florida, GWB wins & puts Roberts & Alito on SC, whose Citizens United decision hugely supercharges dark money flood.

you might be able to come up with a hypothetical D nominee/R nominee pairing where I’d prefer the R nominee if you just get to switch the names or something but there really aren’t any pairings that involve Vance or Trump on the R side and remotely realistic D nominees where I sit out or vote R
When you say "vote blue no matter who" these guys always say "oh ho ho, but what if it was Lina Khan, would you vote blue THEN?"

And the answer is "yes"? Very obviously? Was "vote blue no matter who" unclear?

correct, “the Biden lane” is not about policy, it is about being the “I’m going to bring back normalcy and lower the temperature and achieve bipartisanship” candidate

nobody believes that anymore, a policy moderate could win but they need to promise fire and brimstone
Like they would probably enthusiastically vote for say a Spanberger like candidate that promises to rain holy fire down on Rs, norms be dammed.

Let me explain this like we’re five.

There are two elections. Two!

In the first one we pick who will be the Democratic leader. You can have any opinion about this one! Personally I’d like a progressive.

In the second one we decide between some Democrat, or MAGA. There is one acceptable answer.

Also, for Millennials and late Gen X, part of the reason why there weren't so many queers/trans folks when we were kids as opposed to today is that THEY WERE ALL DYING OF AIDS!!
every time someone says something like "there weren't trans people when I was a kid" or some shit about trans people being a new thing because WOKE all I can think is "motherfucker Dog Day Afternoon was made in 1975"

I feel like we've all lost sight of the fact of the sheer magnitude of the failure of Putin's latest offensive, i.e. the one that began in 2024—mainly because it's been so baked into the day-to-day.

Far and away the least successful offensive we've seen in not just years, but decades.

the thing with Fetterman is that he was a pretty normie lib, got severe brain damage, and became a right winger. the takeaway seems pretty obvious to me
As a Senate candidate, Fetterman guaranteed voters he’d be a reliable Dem, not another Manchin or Sinema.

Constantly. It was his core promise to primary voters.

Liar.

The promise was that by privatizing Judaism in a Protestant sense, Jews could become equal citizens and integrated into the polity. The fact that this failed to reduce racialized anti-Jewish bigotry is a big part of what led many Jews to define themselves as a national group and turn to nationalism.

I’ve never had it explained to me why so many people have a special rule when it comes to Israel to suddenly use emit terminology, when for every other nation we’d typically use terms like “ultra-nationalist” or “nativist” which has clearer definitions for most people.
For me this is very simple.

There is widespread, longstanding practice of using "Zionists" as coded slur for Jews, or "Jews I don't like" (regardless how they define themselves).

That is sufficient reason to refrain from broad-brush language such as "Zionism=Racism" or "Zionists not welcome".
Here is an explanation on why Jewish Greens (who obviously don't speak for every single Jewish person in the party, etc) are so opposed to the Zionism is Racism motion brought to the #GreenParty's spring conference.
