Naturally optimistic. Nature, wildlife, books and music are my sanctuaries. Drawn to water, a true Pisces. Originally from the northeast but it’s been “Sweet Home Alabama” now for 4 years.

I am so sorry. I only meant to pass the light on. I understand now. I never read the instructions on Bluesky. Clearly, I do not understand how it works. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I don’t think I have the time to be on Bluesky in that way.
Bright light will always banish the darkness…….pass it on

With head in the clouds
I can rise above it all
For peace reigns above
New sounds will be heard
With the setting of the sun
Nighttime has begun
Sunsets are proof that no matter what happens…… every day can end beautifully.

Here’s Bob, my neighbor’s cat, all nestled underneath an Indian headdress. He is camouflaged pretty well. You never know where you might find him.

Never been, it looks like a peaceful and secluded place.
Waking up to this is to transition from dreaming at night to continuing on with a daydream…..the double joy of clouds in the sky and clouds mirrored on water.
We fell in love with it when we visited friends vacationing there in 2014. 😍🦮
Clearing my head in my cozy little spot on Sarasota Bay…….
The windows of my soul
I throw wide open to the sun.

When young, I thought I was odd to be mesmerized by watching clouds morph in shape and shades of all kinds of purple and gray….that I waited until the last possible moment to turn away. But I grew to find that I am not alone….. there is a whole tribe of people out there that feel the exact same way.
I am blessed to have had the privilege to set the world on pause……..to have found a retreat to recover and reset.
You will be so glad you had the surgery afterwards. Check on YouTube for simple stretching exercises you can do now before surgery. That will possibly help with the pain and definitely help with recovery.
I was 73. My surgery was June 5th and I was given the last set of physical therapy exercises, to do at home, 6 weeks after the replacement. It is a balance between sensible movement and rest. I also am a candidate for knee replacements, (very bad arthritis), so I am being cautious with the hiking,

This is a little of Huntsville and I really love that the Gulf of Mexico is 6 hours south.
Alabama has beautiful waterfalls, caves and mountainous regions in that area and the whole northeast. It was quite a surprise finding out how much there is to do.
You lived in a beautiful area. For the most part, people in Huntsville are polite about political differences. I was in Florida for a few years, which at one point was leaning “purple”, and there were a good number of people that were NOT polite.
I grew up in Jersey and then lived in New Paltz, NY for a while. I love all four seasons. We moved south, initially, because of family transferring here for work. I always loved the snow, but it was also a good move for my husband, because of a heart condition.
