Re-doing my intro post! I'm Elizabeth. I'm a Melbourne based writer who does everything from narrative to dialogue to localisation. I also put pictures of my butt on the internet, and I'm a singer in my free time (mostly jazz.) I have no shame. I also collect 50's/60's Las Vegas stuff. Minors DNI.
Sometimes you just have to ignore your mother's text messages and go about your day.

Had a terrible nightmare that my mother had a mental health episode and adopted one of those monkeys that wear diapers inside.

Girl i know on discord told me that she befriends a lot of young guys in the military she meets playing milsim games, and naturally they end up interested in her bevause she's a girl that plays milsim. She mocks them if their post military plans include ICE. They drop those plans real quick.

one of the most effective weapons we have against fascism is mockery, especially when its really funny
It occurs to me all the yelling at ICE in MPLS isn't merely funny. Getting made fun of like this is awful for morale. ICE is losing field officers faster than it can wave them through training, and a big part of it is how little of this these little weasels can take.
ICE at Midway Target and seem to possible be leaving. Lots of community members here

Ken still best boy tho
I tried re-watching Mad Men and had to stop. I thought it'd be because Joan's entire story hits so close to home and would upset me but it ended up being that it REALLY made me miss smoking. Like so bad. I would kill a man for a smoke right now.

That Grok still has payment processing, when everyone I know — artist or gamer or adult creator —lives in constant fear of deplatforming and debanking over the mere hint of impropriety, is utterly mind-blowing.
Some Grok users, mostly men, began to demand to see bruising on the bodies of the women, and for blood to be added to the images. Requests to show women tied up and gagged were instantly granted.

‘Add blood, forced smile’:

‘Add blood, forced smile’: how Grok’s nudification tool went viral
The ‘put her in a bikini’ trend rapidly evolved into hundreds of thousands of requests to strip clothes from photos of women, horrifying those targeted

Can people please recommend funds/charities that directly assist or specialise in helping women in poverty / Palestine access pregnancy and post-partum care? I'm setting up a wishing well at my baby shower.

I haven't had as nearly as many people try to pressure me into not vaccinating my baby or having an unmedicated birth as I have people trying to talk me into co-sleeping. I don't care if you do it. Good for you. I have the fear of god in me & im not doing that and people try SO HARD to pressure me?

I genuinely dont have an issue with the state of New Vegas in Season 2 because i feel like one of the main takeaways from the game was that Nevada was an incredibly fragile sociological, economical, and political ecosystem and that attempts by any party to colonise it would inevitably destroy it?

I really need the inevitable MtG x Muppets collab to have a Black/red Miss Piggy commander because I run a black/red Caesar's Legion deck and the idea of Piggy commanding the 56 Legionary tokens i end up with is SO FUNNY to me.

Cyberpunk v3.0 is less of a game and more of a book of philosophy that Mike Pondsmith probably should have written instead. There are like 30 straight pages of world building before you get to the rules. The writing is compelling though!
I actually went ahead and read ALL the cyberpunk source books and well, Mike Pondsmith’s predictions for how tech would disrupt and in some cases destroy America were not all that far off

Coles plans to deploy data company Palantir's tools across more than 840 supermarkets to cut costs and "redefine how we think about our workforce". At a time of increased food insecurity, Australians ...

Also those new anti-shoplifting gates at kmart dont open automatically for wheelchair or mobility aid users like they do for able bodied people because, as the staff member explained to me, "they want us to stop you to search your wheelchair before we let you out." EXCUSE ME?
Im in a wheelchair until my obgyn says otherwise and holy fuck people literally just do not give a fuck about accessibility anymore. Like its always been bad for wheelchair users but its worse than ever right now. Like my local Aldi is genuinely inaccessible for wheelchair users.
