yeah its wild how much 'bi-erasure' has been repurposed as a way to call lesbians The Real Bigots without getting called on being lesbophobic. like i'm not sure ive ever seen a man accused of bi-erasure. it's always lesbians, and that goes for outside fandom spaces as well.

Asserting that a woman is by default sexually available to men and it's "exclusionary", "biphobic", or even "TERFy" to say that she's a lesbian is common in discussions of queer media.
sexuality discourse in fandom is hardly pressing but the whole thing is really fucking difficult as a lesbian (especially when you consider that artists and writers have been harassed and doxxed for “getting it wrong”) who likes art and media.
