On almost everything – fraud, polarisation, radicalisation, misinformation – evidence suggests that over 60s are in much more urgent need of online protection and education than teenagers.

But that issue gets zero political attention, and is a total non-starter. Nothing good will come of it.
This was a minor story on London news this morning - but suspect is a real cautionary (and alarming) tale of an older man getting radicalised online.

For Europeans - a reminder that the former Frontex boss Fabrice Leggeri is now an MEP for the French far-right Rassemblement National
Tom Homan is not "less extreme" than Bovino. He's appeared on white nationalist Laura Loomer's show + last year spoke at the far-Right "National Conservative" conference alongside a variety of neo-fascist activists.

Rob Beenders lijdt zoals alle ministers onder een enorme profileringsdrang. Het is wel een verademing dat het bij hem niet anti-migratie, anti-woke, of anti-onderwijskoepels is, maar pro-consument.

I cannot tell you how absolutely infuriatingly this stuff comes across to Europeans.

When we say America is no longer a reliable ally, it goes considerably deeper than Donald Trump himself. This kind of complacent, condescending shit is a *huge* part of it.

off the top of my head, moral responsibility for trump, in descending order:

1- trump and his inner circle
2- SCOTUS
3- GOP-affiliated elites
4- biden DOJ
5- intelligentsia/media types who misled the public about the threat he posed and the tools available to stop him
6- elected dems
7- voters
This man is talking about stealing a country at gunpoint from nations the US is allied with. Of course Europeans hate us. You would feel the same way if you were in their place. American voters put this man in power, he didn’t seize it this time.

I tried out HERE WeGo and I'm positively surprised! I thought navigation apps couldn't be better than Waze but it turns out I was wrong. Waze's business operations obviously won't feel the hit of one user leaving, but I'd rather have the Dutch processing my location data than the Israelis.

I think the moment I fully lost it with American elite culture was when there was a no-shit bipartisan panic attack over Colorado throwing Trump off the 2024 ballot because of this stipulation
every time I read this, I get apocalyptically apoplectic about how clear it is. it is instant. it does not require explicit congressional action to invoke, it instead only requires that to remove.

donald trump is not the current president right now, according to the constitution.

Terwijl de vraag vandaag is: wanneer gebeurt dat bij ons?
Aan onze EU grenzen kennen we de uitwassen van Frontex trouwens al.

55% positivity about Trump I is crazy
Pollster: 58% of Americans say Trump's second term has been a failure. A year into term number two, Trump's numbers look worse than any other president. Trump is even worse than George W. Bush after Katrina and a long period in the Iraq War. This is really, really bad.
