her backstory is that she was a Clinton superfan, serial interim appointee, and anti-public-school radical who had never won an election who got so offended when Clinton correctly saw that she was an incompetent seat filler and refused to give her a campaign seat that she went for Bernie.

nina turner is unique in the way in which her career has demonstrated the pathologies of both the Democratic left (low-trust grifter incapable of organizing a child's birthday party) and center (incompetent suck-up who rose through party offices, on charter school payroll, aggrieved at tiny slights)
all else aside it's absolutely hilarious to me that someone is stating in what-is-assumed-to-be-good-faith that the Democratic National Committee, an organization that mostly does paperwork for other politicians, could or should organize mass civil disobedience

underrated how this was a staffing disaster too, considering how outreach to Black voters was Nina Turner's responsibility... and Nina Turner has never to my knowledge done literally anything successfully.
In 2020 he did very well…up until South Carolina.

He never could get Southern Black voters to take him seriously as a candidate who could win, and he benefited in 2020 from the massive field initially.

But once it became him vs. Biden it was over.

Today, I made historic appointments who will lead key agencies and create a city where everyone can thrive.

I appointed Stanley Richards as Commissioner of DOC. Decades after he served time in our city’s jails, Commissioner Richards will now be the first formerly incarcerated person to lead them.

so disappointed with Firefighters right now what the fuck guys don't give up your good guy cred over this bullshit you guys had it made
Texas fire department helps ICE detain roofers—using tower ladder truck that should be reserved for local emergency.

Agents grab at workers' legs to yank them off multi-story house—even using pepper spray atop roof.

Firefighters did equip ICE with safety harness for this risky series of maneuvers.

Get them out. They don’t belong here. No one wants them here. They don’t want to be here. Trump probably wants out, it’s a quagmire, let him claim his hand was forced. But GET ICE OUT OF MINNEAPOLIS

An important point to remember: You have to be a citizen to be registered to vote. None of this stuff is, or ever was, necessary. All this "Voter fraud" bullshit was ALWAYS a Republican attempt to use a lack of documents to REMOVE citizenship from USians.
The Save Act wld “require Americans to provide a birth certificate, passport, or other citizenship document to register or re-register to vote.” It does *not* say that women who took their spouses’ last names can use a marriage certificate in combo w/ a birth certificate to prove their citizenship.
The GOP blames women for undermining them on issues like abortion & ICE & thus hopes to pass the “SAVE Act,” which will make it harder for married women who changed their last names to vote. But they want you to think it’s about “election integrity”. 1/31/26 #HandmaidsTale 1/

The Save Act – which would do the opposite of its title – could have a huge impact on the midterm elections

Republicans are the serial abusers who tell their victims “I can change, I promise”, knowing the Dems will smile and thank them, before they go back to doing exactly what they were doing before
“I’m observing!”

Guns drawn, grabbed out of her car for observing.

Homan has changed nothing.

VVVVVV This is really big. Do NOT Use Face ID: do NOT use print ID.
I can’t stress this enough. The state of 4th Amendment law is that the cops can’t force you to type in a passcode but they can force you to swipe your finger or present your face. Never stop using passcodes/passwords to unlock your devices. And consider additional code to unlock Signal.
The FBI was able to access Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson's Signal messages because she used Signal on her work laptop. The laptop accepted Touch ID for authentication, meaning the agents were allowed to require her to unlock it. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
