I never thought Leopards would eat MY face, sobs Great Barrington Declaration-signing MD who voted for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party

Good read about the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices & its vote to alter Hep B vax guidelines--focusing on one of RFK Jr.'s appointees.πŸ›ŸπŸ˜·medsky
This Is What It Looks Like When RFK Jr. Wins
His handpicked β€˜experts’ just voted to roll back hepatitis B vaccine guidelinesβ€”and reverse a historic public health victory.

Sure. I was referring to Prasad's actual letter and the claims it made.

Clearly, some federal folks have it out for the US tourism industry. But hey, what's billions of dollars to our economy just from visitors from these countries alone?

Curious to see how the hotel and tourism industry responds to this.

Such needless drama and attention-seeking. To think he could have just picked Arial or Aptos as a more professional looking alternative and ensure accessibility. 🀷

Claim of 10 linked deaths. That's still up for question. But your question is right on.

Good point! That is a nice teaching example.

Old news at this point, but just wanted to highlight/compliment @arstechnica.com for showing press can use honest headlines that spare the public of the all-too-common false equivalence or other tepid/milquetoast prose.

I appreciate the header above the headline: "Still going"

Besides obvious health risks, consider the economic costs.

Currently: 254 unvaxxed & exposed ppl in quarantine, including 43 students

Quarantine period=21 days from exposure

Consider lost work for self/caring for child missing school.

As if the Somali pop. in the US hasn't been targeted enough...

In 2017, a Minneapolis measles outbreak heavily hit its Somali community, which had declining vaccination rates due to concerns abt higher-than-normal autism rates among Somali-Am. children--concerns Wakefield & antivaxxers preyed on.πŸ›Ÿ

So sad--all about showing off. Like Hegseth & I think Vance too working out w/ units at bases they visit. A certain demographic of men embrace this stupidity, but there's a middle age & up subset that's particularly pathetic. So easy to be into fitness at 50+ & not be such a tool--that takes effort.

Fun for the whole family--esp during a layover. SMH... Who uses a pull-up bar in public or beyond gym/home except to show off? I've noticed on YT a pull-up bar subculture thing--gives off a weird overcompensating vibe (at least among the dudebros who are buff but clearly feeling macho-challenged).

Nothing but the best people...

This is insanity.

Dylan was wrong: some do need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows...

It is understandable why any reasonable person might ponder that. Calls to mind a George Carlin routine.
