In raw numbers, X still has 2x the research-based posts that Bluesky does (though they are harder to find): but it took Twitter 10 years to get there vs just 2 years for Bluesky

If we only had some trusted institution that could adjudicate between competing claims by relying on facts.

The basic sequence of the ICE shooting in Minneapolis on Wednesday is not in dispute: A Honda Pilot reversed, then moved forward; an ICE agent was close to the vehicle; the agent fired shots. A 37-year-old woman was killed.

But that sequence has been interpreted in radically different ways. Was the officer struck by the vehicle, as President Trump insists, or did the car pass by or around him? Was he positioned in front of the vehicle or to the side? Did he have a genuine, reasonable fear for his life in that moment, or did he create the very danger he then used lethal force to escape?

Nachdem uns ein Böller den Internetanschluss für fünf Tage weggesprengt hat, haben wir eine gute Auswahl an DVDs im Haus sehr zu schätzen gelernt. Die wird jetzt ausgebaut und demnächst wird es auch noch einen neuen DVD-Player auf Vorrat geben.

Ich denke, re-offline ist aktuell ein Trend.

Among the library’s frequent users has been Santiago Gassó, an atmospheric scientist. When he wanted to learn about chaos theory, he went to the Goddard library, plucked old textbooks and sat down to read. Dr. Gassó, said liked the library’s quiet spaces and floor-to-ceiling windows.
