This is what Democrats on the Hill do not understand. If MAGA gets enough power to purge them their donors will not be able to save them. They are some of the most vulnerable people in the country. It is possible Trump could just go in and mass arrest them one day.

Since Democrats won't fight the oligarchy it is up to each and every citizen to do so. I discussed it with my family. We will not be spending on the holidays this year. No Thanksgiving. No Christmas. No New Years. We have only one weapon, our dollars. Crash the economy. Repost if you agree.

I don't know anyone that wanted the ACA to fail, people to suffer, just so they could be insufferable knowitalls. If you know people like that perhaps you should expand your friend circle.
I'm not "being used" to attack the left. I am of and from the left, and I have fierce disagreement with exactly the kind of people who I described above, who are numerous and plentiful. If that doesn't describe you, cool, you don't need to spend time and energy defending them.

As a "wine mom" I can tell you that most mothers are against genocide happening in Palestine. Most Jews in the USA are against the genocide. The only people still upset over talking about the genocide are Israeli propagandists in the media, and politicians taking money from Israel

It's not that we are naive, we're more truthful and literal. Psychologically people tend to view the motivations of others through our own ethics first and foremost. Because of our honesty we seem naive. Other people are intrinsically more dishonest than we are. No moral judgment in that statement
I always have to remind myself the fact I am interested in challenging myself to grow and evolve as a person does not mean others are. Still, it surprises me. The monotropism means a certain part of me will always remain naive, even as I grow ever older & more jaded

I completely disagree with this thread. From my experience low info GOP voters only become disillusioned when they have no one else to blame for their plight. The GOP runs against what Dems do, they have no policy goals. When crap gets bad is the only time they wake up. They don't care what we say.
Posted about this elsewhere — but I think it is a bad strategy politically, and very bad analysis of voter psychology (it really is!), to tweet about Trump’s tariffs and deportations etc and say “well, sucks for y’all who voted for it, you get what you vote for/reap what you sow” etc. Thoughts: 1/4
