A better world is possible if we have the will to create it
I don't see a lot of people talking about this, so I want to highlight something GOOD

The comments on AI slop are always filled with 'AI because of the extra finger' or 'AI because the glass shattered but is still whole'. The biggest giveaway on so many of them is simply to ask why the hell a camera would even be there!

Call me crazy Jean Luc, but the right to a fair trial, the right to privacy, freedom of religion, freedom of expressions, freedom from discrimination, freedom from slavery, freedom from torture and degrading treatment, and protecting victims of domestic violence might just be enough!
What has the ECHR ever done for us?
Quite a lot actually, and we wrote it too.

@feonix.bsky.social just heard your description of exploration in Hell Is Us. That's how I always used to play RDR. Marston's horse has no sat nav, so i always just read the map and remembered the turns to take. I hate fast travel, so I knew the map inside out!

I'm watching Star Trek: Enterprise for the first time and every time Ensign Mayweather talks about being a boomer I lose it. I'd forgotten it didn't really mean anything back then!

Conversely, normal decent people suffer from "pluralistic ignorance" -- because the assholes are so loud & ubiquitous, decent people don't realize that most other people share their decency. They don't realize they're in the majority.

Ten years ago, on this day 15 July, the Irish Oireachtas passed the Gender Recognition Act 2015 (An tAcht um Inscne a Aithint, 2015).
It was a piece of legislation that allowed me to live my life authentically & I'm forever grateful.
Despite what others may have you believe, the sky did not fall in.

What the UK’s decision on trans women got wrong.
Both 🇦🇺& 🇳🇿 law & the
scientific community recognises that sex is a spectrum.
The BMA have described the court’s decision as ‘scientifically illiterate’.
As a published researcher I agree.

What the UK’s decision on trans women got wrong
While the UK Equality Act uses outdated binary language, the equivalent legislation in Australia does not, writes Paula Gerber.

I decided after Endgame to stop watching Marvel films. It felt like a proper ending and I didn't want it tarnished. I haven't regretted that decision.
I've now chosen to rewatch the Infinity Saga; no regrets there either!
