They were having a calm exchange seconds before he murdered Renee Good, and she was barely moving and clearly avoiding him.

Stop the lies.

ICYMI: Ever heard of a grätzloase? It means “neighbourhood oasis”– a miniature park replacing a parking space, aka parklets. With the blessing of city hall, more than 100 of them have sprung up across Vienna since 2015. And in theory, anyone in Vienna can build one.
‘Why would you take away a parking place?’: the city where anyone can build an urban oasis
Grätzloasen – low-cost, urban ‘parklets’ built by volunteers – are on the rise in Vienna as sceptics are being won over by the splash of welcome greenery and boost to community spirits

Why the ‘Trick-or-Treat Test’ still matters for better neighbourhoods. My past @opinion.bloomberg.com article.

Every year, #Halloween trick-or-treating reveals a LOT about good and bad urban design and more walkable neighbourhoods all year long.

Think about it as you look/walk around on Halloween.
Why the ‘Trick-or-Treat Test’ Still Matters
Community designers have this same discussion every year, for good reason.

Claims these "DTOs are the 'Al Qaeda' of our hemisphere.

Nope.

No armed attack on US like 9/11.

No AUMF.

No armed conflict.

Just more lawless premeditated killing.

This is the absolute best I've ever seen the topic articulated and I'd encourage everyone to watch and share this video.

The US is not a normal country. Our quality of life is not the best amongst developed nations, and we have so much wrong for so little right. More need to understand this.

Hopefully the whole Bari Weiss thing and Ezra Klein thing starts waking people up to the fact that corporate media is mostly populated with mediocre people who have made millions and gained unbelievable influence because they threaten nothing and tell wealthy people exactly what they want to hear.

Is hostility to immigration something that people develop spontaneously based on their own experiences, or is it deliberately cultivated by politicians and the press?

The authors of this FT don’t say so, but it’s hard not to see this figure as evidence for the latter. www.ft.com/content/43da...

If it was possible to pick up Republican voters at scale by being more moderate and representing the center of politics, we would've won 2016 & 2024, and 2020 would've been a massive blowout creating a Congressional supermajority.

It doesn't work in a polarized electorate!
The idea that if you make Dems a little more Republican, Republicans will vote Dem is what’s breaking us. And it doesn’t even work!
I genuinely cannot believe that Ezra Klein said we should run pro-life candidates in Kansas, Ohio, and Missouri; three states that recently held abortion referendums where the pro-choice side won!
