If you see this, post a random fact about yourself!

I am a background actor in an episode of Workin Moms! Unfortunately it's one of the only background gigs I did before I got a "grown up job". I had so much fun, I'd love to do it again someday.
If you see this, post a random fact about yourself!

When I was in second grade, we adopted a stray doggo that showed up. Shortly before getting her spayed, we discovered that she was pregnant. I ended up with every 2nd grader's dream: TEN PUPPIES. (All survived to adulthood & were adopted out)

I've only left Ontario three times: once to go to Montreal and twice to go to the UK

This “it’s impractical to avoid AI” stance is frustrating to me because no it isn’t? At least for authors who have direct control over their work. Not a single GenAI tool touched my books at any part of the creation process. I know this for a fact because I know my software and what my editor uses.

Shorter word counts lol. Not everything needs to be novel-length and I shouldn't pad out a story just to make it so #writingprompt

Honestly, 2025 was a very big year for me and my career. I can't believe that in 1 year I went from an unemployed Gen Z grad to starting my own freelance editing business.

Now I get paid to edit your books! I'm so incredibly happy with the end of this year. Thank you for hiring me as your #editor

When I woke in Jesse’s room, on the futon by his bed, I almost believed it. I almost believed we really could go back and fix everything. But as the sun slowly seeped into my skin, I knew there was no way we could ever undo the damage. #wipsnips

To revise another draft or start a new WIP.
That is the question.

You don't need AI as an indie author, you need community. You need people who can help you when you're burning out (and vice versa, importantly). Trade labor with each other, beta read for one another, connect with editors and cover artists. Teach & learn. Help promote one another.

Yeah? Neither is ‘this is really hard so let’s not even try.’

Growing up is hard to do, especially when standing in your brilliant older sister's shadow. Maybe a new friend will change everything...

- Revised my first novel to re-release it in 2026
- Revised another novel to also release it in 2026
- Exceeded my reading goal (10 books)
- Got better at ballet/dancing
- Tried out vending at markets
- Met some local authors
- Got out of the house more
Quote this with what you have accomplished in 2025, no matter how big or small
Reading & writing has kept me alive this year.

Somehow, it’s been my most productive year as an author.

Here’s a guide to what I’ve published in 2025, in case you’ve lost track.

I like this idea! Let's play!

1 like = 1 plan for 2026
Oooh this is a fun idea, let's play!

1 like = 1 plan for 2026

(Capped at 42 because it's a fun number and there's only so much I can do in a year!)
Ok. It's 3am. I'm waiting for girl dig to be ready to sleep again. So let's play a game.

1 like = 1 plan for 2026

I'll get increasingly improbable and optiministic as we go.

I'm so excited to get my BYOK. I'm chomping at the bit waiting for a shipping email. Rattling the bars of my cage.

I've been thinking ahead on what my next writing project will be once I get my preorders up and running and I think I'll work on a book I started wayyy back in uni. Great concept, didn't have enough life/writing experience to write it. I feel like I do now. So I'm gonna give it a go! #writesky

I survived the cold!! Tho the last 30mins was not fun 🥶 I was planning on getting an Uber, but the idea of waiting outside even longer for the ride was just too much. So public transit won that day 😅 At least the station was... somewhat warmer than outdoors
Idk what I was thinking when I signed up to vend at an outdoor winter market... Maybe that it wouldn't be that cold?
Anyway if you're in #Toronto and want a signed book, I'll be at Barbara Hall Park tmr, 2PM-8PM.

It will never be perfect. You can read and reread and re-edit but there will always be something to fix. You just have to let go after a certain point.
(I thought I'd already learned this but I needed to relearn fr) #pretendpanel
#pretendpanel, daaaaaamn, you really came out to answer last weekend's questions! I'm super interesting to see what you say to this...

If you would like to read my work but cannot afford to buy it or lack access to library resources for whatever reason, you can ask me for a copy. I'm pretty chill.

If you are a pirate as a personality trait, or because nobody's going to tell you what to do or whatever, I'm disappointed in you.
