Oh shit, ANTIFA is suiting up
From the sound of music. Seven children stand in a line inside a grand house, wearing identical light blue sailor-style uniforms with dark collars, neckties, and knee socks. They are arranged from tallest to shortest, standing at attention on a patterned rug with a staircase and ornate wall paneling behind them.

Wild that we're getting two New York City sets in a year's span.

Ok well seeing your love of Raph I have to defer at least a little. But you don’t have red as his primary or secondary color? The angry hothead who wants freedom and hates authority? I would think R or Rb or Rw. But I’m mostly going off the OLD cartoon and movies.

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

BlackRock won btw

They voted yes. Wonder what Tim Walz will do about it…
@MorePerfectUS

NEW: BlackRock is trying to buy Minnesota Power, which provides power to over 150,000 people.
Why? They want to profit off of the soaring electricity demand from Al data centers.
If they win, and if it's profitable, your power company could be next.

Hello again @aaron.bsky.team.

Does Bluesky has a special contract with thehive.AI where thehive.AI won’t use Bluesky users posts for their GenAI?

Or is Bluesky actually feeding every user post (Art & Writing) to a GenAI system that profits off of copyrighted material not intended for it?
jdreben.omg.lol
What’s up with this… Is 1) The Hive really being used, and 2) using images here for generative AI? Pretty bad look if true

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:
www.citizensinformation.ie/en/employmen...
Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

Like, if there is a better depiction about the actual relationship between American Christian Nationalism and actual faith in God and Christ, I don't know it. These people would have bombed Bethlehem.

New Portland Frog fan art just dropped

My alt text will suck, but this is going around now. Portland frog facing off ICE really has become a mascot here.
A painting of a lone green and white belly frog wearing a blue scarf is facing off a line of feds, who are in helmets and faceguard and carrying batons. A line of tear gas flows up into the sky from the cops.

Um, ICE just coldly shot an unarmed PRIEST in the head w a pepper ball when he (and everyone around him) clearly posed no threat.

For the crime of … complaining about government policy.

Core 1A speech.

With cameras rolling, they’re sniping priests for sport.

I do find it hilarious how they immediately backtracked after this and deleted the comment
a member of bluesky saying "Yeh" in response to the above post, with a journalist responding asking to get their exact quote over the thread in which the bluesky member responds with "what" and the journalist then rephrasing the question only for the bluesky member to delete the entire thread

When I was a little kid, like preschool age…I apparently loved Peanut Butter and Mayonasise sandwiches.

I tried it once as an adult out of curiosity.

It was worse and better and weirder than I expected.

I mean…that’s 100% a correct cereal opinion. Otherwise we would just have a dry bowl and a cup of milk.

Depends on the cereal of course. Cracklin oat bran goes from PERFECT to MUSH in a blink of the eye.
