Discovered on my woodland walk this morning. Commonly called ‘Hair ice’ it comprises frozen moisture on decaying wood with an extra ingredient, a fungus called Exidiopsis effusa apparently (with thanks to BBC’s Wildlife Magazine). #nature #Aberdeenshire.
