That will take a while. Most of us are not there yet.

"Raindrops & glaciers carve canyons."
You're not making a "choice" to be so reactive-- you're responding to old conditioning. You're literally wired for it. Un-wiring that reactivity takes more than a "realization" or a "decision."

Give it time. Be consistent.

Hell yeah. Hold the line. This is what we need people to do.

Slow things down, don’t comply in advance so the courts have time to stop them. It’s starting to work.
Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

Finally getting back into the gym. I needed to know what my top walking speed is since I walk around town quite a lot; I'm pleasantly surprised by this number. I didn't think I walked faster than 2mph.

Many many apologies to the brilliant, important @chenoweth.bsky.social for the fact that I had a typo in their name in this piece! 😬 (And thanks to the folks who caught it for me, way too late.)

This is one of the most important things I've done, just reporting on their work.

We. Can. Do. This.
Over 50% of nonviolent movements to overthrow governments are successful within one year of their peak.

The key is to engage over 3.5% of the country, a cross-section of society—clergy, kids, grandmas, teachers) using DIVERSE & CREATIVE tactics, with women in leadership.

We can do this.

Then years later we found out younger Gen Z & Alpha uses LLM’s like ChatGPT when doing “research”?

Every single person in government who is not up in arms about every single choice this administration does is complicit.

Every act of protest and resistance that you do, that you have capacity to do matters.

It takes curiosity to learn. It takes courage to unlearn.

Learning requires the humility to admit what you don't know today. Unlearning requires the integrity to admit that you were wrong yesterday.

Toxic positivity is pressuring people to look on the bright side. They have to suppress anxiety, anger, sadness, and grief.

Healthy support is shielding people from the dark side. You invite them to express their pain, and show them they're not alone and won't feel it forever.
