Google to employees: give your health info to AI or you don't get health benefits.
Why do I get the feeling that the privacy and security audit wasn't of the same rigor as one for facial recognition for building access? 🤔

The girlfriend of the antifa founder.
The image shows a close-up of Mia Goth’s face, as Sara in the 2018 Suspiria remake, centered in the frame. The individual has long, light brown hair and is looking directly at the camera with a neutral expression. The background is dark, contrasting with the person's pale complexion. A blurred figure wearing red can be seen slightly in the foreground, out of focus.

Budget is a hindrance to this, but what is on screen gives the suggestion writer/director Graham Hughes is someone to watch. He knows what makes ideas interesting in film, has a good grasp on pacing and character. If I worked at an A24, Neon or Spectrevision, I’d be talking to him.

I wrote the entire front page of a newspaper one morning by kerosene lantern after Hurricane Ike knocked out the power at the newsroom and pretty much everyone else in town.

We put out a damn paper. Fuck AI.

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.
wrote 20 pages on Faulkner's The Bear four hours before final papers were due on trucker pills and coffee and cigarettes and got an A, fuck you.
You people couldn't hang with real slackers.

Okay. I’m hooked. This gets off to a great start.

That may be the most appealing way it’s been described to me. Might have to slot it in in November

That makes sense. I get the feeling that there’s a rabid audience for it, whose vocal nature (myself included) made the viewership for it seem bigger than it was too.

I still haven’t watched that, and I should. It’s right at a nexus of different interests for me.

That makes PERFECT sense to me. They clearly want to be in business with him, but I guess the numbers weren’t there for that show.

Every once in a while, I see people saying Netflix cancelled Mindhunter. My impression was that David Fincher basically decided other projects were his priority and then too much time passed. Am I wrong here?

“Private sector economist.”

Why am I not shocked?

I changed the interaction settings for my posts, and it helped a whole lot with the randos streaking into my mentions like they set themselves on fire and it was my job to put it out.

A lot of it is people who haven’t put in the time to grasp the subject matter, like the fool in your example.

The sky looks really ominous this afternoon. Hope I make it home before it rains/storms.
A very dark and bruised cloudy sky.

The novel slowly slipped past 120k words... new territory for me for sure... I know I have things to trim, but I also have things to flesh out... We'll see how this ends up. Here is a cat so you will actually read this.
Pants, Our big chonky tuxedo cat. He's tucked in between my legs on my recliner, watching me. He had a white chest, big green eyes, a shite muzzle and nose... he's a handsome boy.
