I’m working on a calendar (lol how many of us are finally getting around to doing a calendar) of my garden pics from this year, month by month for next year. January has some indoor action. 🌱 #Bloomscrolling #FlowerReport

As is traditional, I'm ending the year with a look back at my garden in 2025. There have been a few triumphs and some disasters. Read about it here: bit.ly/3KKvpqD

Happy New Year! The rose is the aptly named 'It's a Wonderful Life'.

For the last #RoseWednesday of the year:
You’re My Everything’, Rose of the Year 2025.
A bright, frosty morning here on the south coast - so much nicer than rain! Have a good day everyone, keep warm, take care, stay safe.

With working away a lot this year I've not really managed the garden as I'd have liked.
Still had some great blooms but next year I've got plans for much more colour so I'm looking forward to starting again 🌱

Bracket fungi appear on ageing trees and deadwood in the garden. They can look ominous if you love a tree, but they also tell a story about decay, habitat and how living things reuse everything we leave behind.

It's cold out and the frost is just beginning to melt in the suns rays.

Those same rays catching the flowers on Abutilon x milleri hort. 'Variegatum' in our exotic courtyard garden.

In addition to scent & color, the shape of the flowers is likely attractive to flies (Diptera). On A. tricaudata (“3 tails”), the long attenuate lobes of the perianth are probably fly attractants. Flies, it seems, like that sort of thing. #TropicalBotany #Aristolochiaceae #Botany 🌾🧪🌱

I'm slowly getting used to the cold winter.

I made a wreath using the trees in my garden. The base is made of rolled olive branches, and the other materials are conifers, nandina berries.
