The President promised prices would go back down. In a healthy economy, they almost never do. The normal pattern is: prices jump, then over time your paycheck catches up. The pain comes when wages don't follow—then it's not “inflation” so much as an affordability crisis.

Another huge issue, and I don't think people even know this is a thing, is that just about everything is done with smart phones now. And many (most?) seniors literally cannot work their phones.
