An eight-year-old girl left destitute in Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa has been barred from coming to the UK to join her parents.
The Guardian reported on the case of Lati-Yana Stephanie Brown after the hurricane. Her mother, Kerrian Bigby, a carer, moved from Jamaica to be with Lati-Yana’s British father, Jerome Hardy, a telecommunications worker, in April 2023, leaving their daughter to be cared for by her grandmother. Not the first to make this point. But there is a tyrant in charge of another country who is accused of being heavily linked to a paedophile sex ring - and supposed ‘patriots’ in this country are passionately willing him to take down our national broadcaster. Madness.

The Quakers are a really important & authentic voice for humanitarian values, have been for over 300 years. Unless the police had credible evidence that the Meeting House had been infiltrated by terrorists, this should be treated as an attack against religious freedom & peaceful protest.

I can’t see any reason why any non UK resident should be able to donate to a UK political party anyway. Although you could argue that Reform isn’t even a political party but a business. So there’s that as well…
