Full responsibility for this calamitous decision rests with Bridget Phillipson who was told by two committees of MPs that Mary-Ann Stephenson was out of her depth - and it was clear she was transphobic - but chose to appoint her anyway.
Just in case there was any doubt about Mary-Ann Stephenson being both biased (so unqualified to Chair the EHRC) and out of her depth here she hangs her hat on the hideous guidance drawn up by her predecessor - without waiting for the results of the High Court challenge which may find it unlawful.

my favorite thing about the benoit blanc movies is that they aren't really about benoit blanc. he is not grappling with demons from his past. we are not getting flashbacks to the husband whose murder he never solved. he just shows up and does his job like mary poppins for homicides

I really hope #criticalrole get George Primavera to run #daggerheart with a proper mini-series (with video).

He's such a fantastic GM and already part of the family! Come on!

I would also like the beast feast and gilded nights one shots to be turned into mini series but now I'm asking a lot lol

This is why it's important to understand what's going on. Not about accepting cowardice – but a proper analysis. Journalists are told by their editors across the country they cannot criticise Rowling. Not because they would lose a case, or would even sue, but because she has built up a latent fear.
I get where you're coming from- it's the same thing Rowling does with libel threats. The idea is to grind everyone down.

You DON’T want to miss this supplement for Daggerheart by Carlos Cisco!! So much cool stuff for your Colossus of the Drylands campaigns! 🙌
Happy Blackhat Friday, partners!

Pistolheart is live on itch! It's 10% of until Midnight and Itch is letting all creators keep 100% of their profits today, so if you were planning on getting it already... mosey on over to itch.

A more lengthy thread to come!

So @itsnicodegallo.bsky.social and I think Daggerheart's classes break new ground in sword & sorcery class design.

Really it's just better than other systems (🪝)

Hong Kong fire and Grenfell are just alike. Fire spreading through unsafe building materials installed due to penny-pinching, killing dozens. One difference: before the HK fire is even out three executives at contractors have been arrested, eight years after Grenfell no-one has been arrested.

There are so many great designers and games people should try.
Daggerheart, blades in the dark, scum and villainy, monster of the week, tales of the valiant, draw steel.
The ttrpg world is so much bigger than DND and the fact so many act as if it isn't drives me nuts
Hey. So stop supporting WotC. Just please do.
There are so many other tabletop games you can play. I'm a Pathfinder simp, but there are SO MANY OTHERS. You don't need D&D.

Played my first game of Daggerheart tonight and had an absolute blast. There's a ton of *really* fun crunch in this system.

The only hiccup was I felt like I didn't have enough Hope to really get there. My dice luck was farming fear and the encounter was Very Hard.

Having watched quite a lot of #xfiles at point (on season 8), I'm convinced the creators never intended to write a fantastic female character who people loved, and actually resented it a bit. #justiceforscully

2. Countries that have ID cards - like the whole of Europe - still have the same irregular migration problem (you may have heard!!!)

& in fact the UK has the lowest share of its economy estimated as irregular economy in Europe so if it fixes the issue WHY DIDNT IT FIX IT THERE?

Ok. They’ve pissed me off.

I’m back to tell you 3 things about ID cards:

1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.

As someone who has always strived to make my games as cinematic as possible, it's definitely made easier or harder depending on the system.
Initiative and exact movement rules are some of the biggest offenders, imo.
YZE games and Daggerheart have solved a lot of this for me.

Everyone saying PM shd condemn far right violence in London yday (Shabana Mahmood already has)/ leave X is right. But same for Kemi Badenoch. No Conservative Party can condone thugs attacking police horses & calls for violent uprising. Even Farage has gone up against Yaxley-Lennon ffs.

Daggerheart draws inspiration from Cortex Prime, which does not have a fixed initiative. Most older Cortex games don't either, and Cortex's lack of it was to some extent inspired by Fate's lack of fixed initiative. BitD doesn't either. Point being, this is now new at all.

This is only an escalation of political violence if you dismiss the imprisonment, force deportation, overseas internment, brutalisation, erasure and other politically violent acts towards immigrant and minority communities and that whole genocide that's being supported as somehow not important.

Take some advice from someone who has seen this play many, many times before: this is the same old predatory publishing model, not some innovative step forward.

“We deduct our expenses before—“ No, that’s where you can stop reading, everything else is now irrelevant.
