The Discovery Institute is a Seattle based conservative christian think tank best known for manufacturing wedge issues & misrepresenting published scientific data to support its funders' positions. Apparently they find Choe a good fit for their well funded team.

I keep waiting for the powers that be in media to grasp the concept of bad faith, realize how often "restore trust in news" and similar statements mean "stop doing journalism, lie more in ways I like," come from people ideologically committed to destroying trust in news, and can never be satisfied.

Bruce Harrell's attempts to paint @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social as an outsider when she's lived here for 21 years are actually pretty reflective of the way he treats his constituents. Those who weren't born here like he was or who aren't wealthy like he is are not worthy of his consideration.

Harrell: Justin, what you did, and this is all in respect, I did not give you a token compliment when I said, "l like what you do." I see what you’re pointing at, but if I had to guess: put Harrell and Wilson in a room with no phones or other staff, and quiz them about the 2025-26 Seattle budget.

I can almost guarantee you that Wilson knows and understands more about the budget than Harrell without his staff.

Much of their environmental world view centers on the need to reduce human population.😢
