A bar chart comparing the US oil and gas exports against China's green tech exports in 2024 and 2025. In 2024, China's exports were $180B to the US $150B. In 2025, it was $120 to $80B, China and US. The chart says: China earns more from exporting solar panels, batteries, electric cars and other clean energy tech than the US does through fossil fuel exports.

NEW from me: Clean energy growth helped China’s CO2 emissions fall 1% year-on-year in the first half of 2025, extending a declining trend that started in March 2024. Power sector CO2 fell 3% as growth in solar power alone matched the rise in electricity demand.
