It is infuriating how articles like this treat him as a serious person when the world and its dog know what a piece of crap he is. I have become so disillusioned with the media’s singular refusal to hold him accountable, and now we’re getting puff pieces from once credible sources. I hate it here

I’ll never forget it. His words to me absolutely shocked me at the time. And as I progressed in my career I came to realize the entire real estate industry sees Trump in the same way - as a fraud and criminal.

It was the age of Apprentice. I’ll never forget what that CEO said to me. He said not to look up to Trump. That he’s a fraud, a criminal, he doesn’t pay the consultants and contractors that make him successful, people die on his job sites and he’d never associate the Intrawest brand with Trump

I started my career as a real estate developer in the late 90’s, with Intrawest, a Canadian Ski company. The CEO of the company told me Trump had called and wanted to do a brand marketing deal on one of Intawest’s new condo buildings at a ski resort. I was starry eyed.

You can’t discuss Trump’s career in construction without noting how refusing to pay contractors was the defining feature of that career. He was and is a con man.

New, from me: The NYT reporter who specializes in profiles of beleaguered right-wingers on campus went to New College...and found out that things were going ok!

So let me explain some pretty massive errors of omission: 🧵

NYT just ran a bizarrely credulous piece about New College, the school that DeSantis and Rufo have turned upside down.

There is one good outcome of the article: This @donmoyn.bsky.social post, which is one of the best pieces of media criticism I've read all year.
