Corporate media is terrible, but even the New York Times concluded the ICE agent was not in danger.

@ilhanmn.bsky.social Can you dump this guy as House Minority Leader already? He's useless.
Hakeem Jeffries is absolutely worthless. His only demand is that Dems get a briefing on what just happened.

“Far too many questions remain unanswered…”

@gtconway.bsky.social Hey George, there's a YouTube channel that's impersonating you. It's Called "George Conway Papers". It says in it's channel description that it's not affiliated with you, but the average viewer will most likely think it's you.

For those of us warning about democracy's potential disintegration, the decision by CBS to pull an exhaustively researched 60 Minutes piece, critical of Trump, is another red alert moment.

When truth disappears as the media gets coopted by the regime, there's little left.

If refusing to comment is enough to kill a story, then the government now has veto power over journalism.
That’s what CBS normalized last night — and it should scare everyone.

CBS Pulled a “60 Minutes” Story Because the White House Refused to Comment — That’s a Veto on Journalism
Pulling a finished investigation because the administration refused to comment isn’t journalism. It’s submission.

@indivisible.org Time to organize a boycott of Paramount and of @bankofamerica.bsky.social for partnering with Bari on her stupid townhalls.
During today's editorial call, Bari Weiss doubled down on pulling the CECOT segment while lashing out at Sharyn Alfonsi:

"The only newsroom that I'm interested in running is one where we are able to have contentious disagreements about the thorniest and editorial matters, and do so with respect."

Bari Weiss, installed by Larry Ellison = 💀 of journalism at 60 Minutes.

“If the admin’s refusal to participate becomes a valid reason to spike a story, we have effectively handed them a ‘kill switch’ for any reporting they find inconvenient.”

Here’s a gift link to this stunner Washpost story, quoting the 60 Minutes correspondent on the CECOT story, who accuses Bari Weiss of spiking the piece all because the Trump Administration wouldn’t comment.

“Government silence is a statement, not a VETO.”

If you needed more evidence that Bari Weiss isn't the sharpest crayon in the box, the fact that she (a) personally spiked the story (b) in a way that left her fingerprints all over the decision (c) at the last possible minute, thus guaranteeing maximal exposure and blowback.
