News Corp's chair yesterday gave me a bit of a puzzled look when I mentioned in a question that News corp routinely uses AI generated images in its papers. Today:
Andrew Bolt's column with an AI generated image of Chris Bowen

Stay weird, Portland!

(would seriously love to see an episode of Portlandia where Fred and Carrie organise a rave protest)

These costumes really ruin the optics of the propaganda videos the far right wants to make, which is what they're there for.

ICE will eventually target them and brutalize them to try to run them off, so they can get useful propaganda video. I hope they're prepared for that.

Streets are still closed off in front of the Portland ICE facility at 8:30pm. Protesters have gathered on a side street. Dance party in progress.

JB Pritzker: “Whenever the president talks about somebody critically, it’s often projection about what he himself is insecure about. Each of the things he said about me, they’re all true about him. I can take it. I am not afraid of this president.”

Traditional Owners don't want the Narrabri Gas project. NSW Farmers don't want it. Unions don't want it. Environmentalists don't want it. Locals don't want it.

Only Chris Minns and his gas cartel mates want the Narrabri Gas project. So whose side is Labor on?

To be fair I blame the owners more.

American media is failing so badly as their democracy is thrown in a bonfire.

The praise (yes, *praise*) by CNN for Pam Bondi is stunning, given that this was the most startlingly unprofessional public performance by an Attorney General in at least a century: "Bondi fended off questions....using quick-one liners to deflect and personal attacks to push back against Democrats."

The subhed here is a master class in corporate journalism rewarding malfeasance via semantics

Bondi didn't valiantly fend something off, she refused to answer legitimate questions before Congress because the answers would be horrifying and politically inconvenient

And that's a profile in cowardice

Dunno man, seems a little misleading to write an article about Trump describing activity in Portland and Chicago as “insurrection” with a 33 year old photo of a burning donut shop taken in the 1992 LA Riots (sans caption explaining that) as the header on all your posts about it.
The picture from
The article with a picture of an armed men standing in front of a burning donut shop. You must click through to read the caption “
Two National guardsmen stand guard outside a burning donut shop in Los Angeles on April 30, 1992.
The National Guard was called in to aid police during the second day of rioting in the city.”

Not sure I agree with you here. The metro is a master stroke for commuter usability in this city. It works and it’s beautiful. The north west needed it, inner west, and soon it goes south west to Bankstown. I won’t hear a bad word of it.

And that’s not intended to be disrespectful to those tragically killed. Just a genuine question.

1/2 "everyone from News Corp to the Atlas Network, to Advance, to CPAC, to Gina Rinehart are busting a foofer valve—and spending a great deal of money—making the case for the takeover"

It’s the process, says @timdunlop.bsky.social, not Andrew Hastie per se.

I suppose we have to think about Andrew Hastie now, sigh
Okay, but let's be clear on what the real problem is

I’d like to know if the Israeli survivors or relatives of victims interviewed today on Oct 7 think it’s justified to kill 100k Palestinians (mostly non Hamas) as revenge in addition to razing their land to rubble with all hope removed. No one is asking as far as I can see. #ABC730
