On May 10, 1933, Nazis burned the library of The Institute for Sexual Science.

The Institute was founded by Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld. Its community clinic pioneered healthcare for queer, trans, & intersex people.

The Institute was targeted & attacked as part of a Nazi government censorship program.

When you refuse to call a Nazi salute what it is, I think the only reason to do so is to allow yourself to continue covering a Nazi without feeling complicit.

Accepting that it was what it was demands you make a choice.
I've watched the video ~two dozen times. The gesture, which is done twice, seems both bizarre and familiar. He pats his open hand to his heart, before extending his arm palm down above his head with a grunt and pursed lips. Then he turns around and does it again.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Jeremy Lansman. He used to call us at WILL AM with questions as he simulcast Bob McChesney’s show on his Alaska station. Rightly remembered, alongside his comrade-in-arms Lorenzo Milam, as a giant in community radio.

I think I was easier to see award-winning Iranian movies 30 years ago, when every DVD rental shop had a couple, than it is today. Video going streaming should have been an amazing opportunity, but it has just increased film illiteracy.
and they only takes master US blockbusters that everybody already watched at least one time in life
