Also: it never quite happened for him afterwards, but this was the film that got people talking about John Heard as a potential movie star who had a beautiful face but could act his ass off
A movie recommendation. CUTTER'S WAY (AKA CUTTER AND BONE) (1981) is my favourite neo-noir, a furiously bitter portrait of three completely broken people who stumble into a murder mystery and turn it into a hopeless crusade. It's tragic and whip-smart and mean, and i love it.

The Democratic Party is now right of Regan Republicans. The Republican Party is now the gnashing, shrieking ID of the dying, pampered suburbanite. The left doesn’t exist. It’s a phantom that fascists imagine behind every windmill, black pilot, video game character whose tits aren’t big enough, etc
The presidency once served as a reminder of our common humanity. Ronald Reagan described its purpose as building "a nation composed of good and decent people."

As a thought exercise, is there a money-trench-dwelling, market-rigging, child-fucking greedwhore somewhere in federal custody that stands no chance whatsoever of being pardoned by this president?

Every ICE thug today gearing up to hunt brown people in the city of New Orleans can eat an entire sack of stale, unsalted dicks. They and the administration they serve are displaying our fallen nation as an ungrateful, soulless shitpile of gutless, frightened race-hate. We are forever shamed.
