Has anyone else seen the video of Stephen Miller on CNN claiming the President has "plenary authority", realizing he said it, and fully glitching? He just stops moving as if freezing will make him disappear, looking caught.

They're discussing plenary power and he didn't mean to say it publicly.

I know we're all just used to the systems we're used to, okay, do what works for you.

But to me the difference between Macs and PCs is the difference between people who like piles and people who like drawers and boxes and I will not be explaining further.

It does explain why I found Mac system organization so infuriating. When I download something I want to be able to find it in downloads. If I take a screenshot I want it in a folder called screenshots. And so help me, Macs, if I edit a photo, I WANT TO FIND THAT SAVED UNDER PHOTOS.

As someone who has only ever used a Mac under protest, this is madness to me. Why would you want everything stacked on everything else on your desktop?

My husband used to claim if he put everything in a pile he "knew where it was" and yet when asked to retrieve something ... turns out he did not.

If you ever find yourself needing to fight for disability coverage either through your company or with SSDI: get the lawyer. I don't think we would have gotten through this at all without one, and certainly wouldn't have managed this good an outcome.

(It's hard to be fully enthused when what's happened is the insurance company got away with only paying half what they owed us, and we needed a lawyer who will take a deserved percentage, but: better than nothing by far.)

Well. In good news.

10 months later, we reached a settlement with my company's disability insurance.

It's a huge relief to have it over. And also to not have to sell our house. We got exactly what rhe lawyer predicted, so we're happy and have some room to create long term solutions. Hurray.

Weird to have my truck broken into and feel sympathetic toward humanity generally but that's where I'm at. It was a nicer experience getting my truck broken into this way than having a "civil exchange of ideas" with any MAGA who wants to send military force here.
