$1455? What a deal!
My 2026 Blue Shield is $1975/mo — wife’s is similar
~$46K per year for a couple
Plus deductibles ($2600 each)
And co-pays (up to $7K each out of pocket), non covered costs etc. —
All-in $50-$60K+
Most people w/employer-sponsored plans or ACA subsidies have NO idea

It's theater. The ones assigned to vote yes aren't running in 26. It's like pro wrestling, there are faces and heels. The heels take the heat off so everyone else can act shocked. The real reason was air travel disruption.

The GOP are the ones starving the Military, and shutting down Airports.
The DNC are just trying to ensure our healthcare isn't cut
The longer the government is shut down, the worse things get for the GOP
By ending the shutdown, they've essentially helped the GOP, without any actual concessions

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Senate Democrats need to hold the line. No healthcare, no deal.
Mainers want a Democratic Party that fights for them, not one that rolls over.
When we fight, we win.
