Everyone should be concerned & upset that our government is doing this. TikTok is not just some silly little dancing app. It has changed America. It has given more Americans a voice than any other platform.
Given that I have a *lawyer* arguing to me that it would be entirely constitutional to ban all social media entirely, I am quickly coming to the conclusion that anti-TikTokism is ruining more brains than TikTok itself.

I've been on the Internet a long time & this is just not the same. TikTok was so much more than doom scrolling. I literally used TikTok to save people's lives. I've never been able to have as much reach as I had with TikTok. So much community & connection has been lost.
Sending good vibes to everyone mourning the loss of TikTok. Everyone of a certain age has been through this on the internet, but very seldom as abruptly and absurdly as this.

Trump hated TikTok (because China) until it helped him win an election (as even he acknowledges) and now he’s going to save it and take a victory lap. So he’ll have X, TikTok, Insta, and Facebook all working on his behalf. That’s a big difference between now and 2017.
