Defending SFWA's take about AI as an author communicates you've used it.

You used it "before anyone told you it was bad" doesn't fly because everyone said it was bad from the get go. You chose to ignore the critics.

Dunno what to say other than sci fi writers would know better, you'd think.

I've seen some people saying that the new SFWA rule on "AI" in the Nebulas will prevent people from being transparent about their LLM use. Newsflash: They wouldn't have been anyway. It would cost them readers. It would cost them votes. It would potentially cost them opportunities with publishers.

We’re closing in on two decades of Republicans telling you, in no uncertain terms, that they do not care about kids being shot dead. In schools, in movie theaters, at church, in the street. They. Do. Not. Care. But hey, at least they’re good at racism and destroying the economy, amirite.

I want to make a list of *short stories* (any genre) published by intersex authors in 2025 & hopefully going forward. I've been meaning to do this for a while, and I think now there are plenty of stories.

If you have some stories, let me know / if not, please repost to spread the word?

Thank you!

Although we had planned to stay open to reprints year-round, we’ve received so many fantastic stories that we've decided to temporarily close on January 1st in order to focus on reading original fiction and poetry.

We’ll open again in March 2026 for reprints for Issue 2! Nonfiction will stay open!

The masked burglar broke into the closed Virginia liquor store early on Saturday and hit the bottom shelf. The bandit was something of a nocturnal menace: bottles were smashed and alcohol pooled on the floor.

The suspect acted like an animal because, in fact, he's a raccoon.
