12年前、DeviantArtで作品投稿開始→水彩画をトランクに詰めイベント出展→野鳥好きになりBirderに→2019年、絵画公募展へ応募し初入選→お陰様で、現在まで入選の機会を得て🇯🇵🇫🇷🇪🇸で開催された展覧会・企画展で作品を展示頂きました。
今、絵描きが置かれた状況は混沌としか表現できませんが、「禍い転じて福となす」日が来ると信じて、絵を描き続けて行きたいと思います。

「図書館は知の宝庫」と定期的にお伝えしているのですが、まさに中世ヨーロッパの文化史に魅力を感じたのも図書館の蔵書からでした。当時はまだSNSやインターネットがなかったので、知識を得る場所は本屋か図書館しかなかったのです。
子供ながらに最奥部にある難しそうな世界史や文化史の棚を眺めては、自分が分かるかもしれない本をめくって知識を深めていたものです。放課後に足しげく通っていなかったら、今のような活動はしていなかったでしょう。
ネットの書籍レビューももちろん参考になるのですが、いろいろとブレもあるもの。やはり直接手にとって読んでみるのがいいのかなと思います。
紙の本は「温かさ」がありますから。

中世ヨーロッパの色彩に大変お詳しい徳井淑子先生のご著書「中世ヨーロッパの色彩世界（講談社学術文庫）」。異なる時代の「色」に対する考え方が違うというのがよく分かる一冊です。
本文も大変素晴らしいですが、ぜひ目を通して頂きたいのが巻末の「あとがき」。初版刊行からかなりの年数が立っているため、当時の資料の見直しを行い情報を一部アップデートしていることが書かれています。

中世ヨーロッパでもロウソクは貴重なものでしたが、この日だけは新しき光を一斉に灯し、安寧を祈っていたとされます。小さな光は希望の光であり、凍てつく氷や雪を溶かす、春の象徴でもあったからです。
もしご興味があるようでしたら、この日の夜に小さなティーライトキャンドルなどを少し灯して心を落ち着かせる時間を設けてもいいやもしれません。時期柄、くれぐれも火の取扱いにはご注意を。
