After years of talking to Trump supporters my view of them has become very simple: They want socialist, even sometimes progressive reforms but they want them from someone who makes those reforms feel powerful and masculine and they want to make sure the people they don't like don't benefit from them

Seeing a lot of the posts about echo chambers, and my take is this. If conservatives were reasonable, if they weren’t essentially in a cult that tells them what to think, then sure, being in a place where mostly progressive voices are the content could be considered problematic.

Another question I wish AOC would ask her followers: if you felt negatively towards DEI initiatives bc you felt they allowed inexperienced/incorrect people to be given desirable positions, how do you feel about Trump nominating people with zero relevant experience to senior government positions?

I’m no expert but perhaps rather than immediately trying to cut $2 trillion from the federal government budget, which is unlikely to change anything for a typical household, the corporations who’re still charging ridiculous prices to keep their record setting profits could be dealt with?

If our tax dollars pay Congressional salaries, and part of their duties is to investigate members and produce reports, aren’t we in a position to demand they release said reports? I’m bewildered about how they could have done work on our dime and then refuse to produce it?
