An entire room full of powerful old white people smiling and laughing as the president dehumanizes black immigrants and the first black president.

Just fucking pathetic.
Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

As a born hater from Philly who was appalled at the thought of moving to the shiny shithole by the beach, I am all in on this place. Hollywood and Beverly Hills don't really exist to the people of this town, but that's all they sell on TV to us back east. LA is fucking weird in all the best ways.

LA produces all of your Made In The USA apparel and fabric. LA is the port for most of your goods and produce. LA makes and the USA takes, baby.

Yeah I guess LeBron putting up a 22.6 PER is pretty special, but it's not that impressive when you compare him to people rolling out of bed and firing off something like this at age 86.

My 3 y/o was reading Meta’s new community standards when she turned to me, gravely, and asked: “Daddy, why don’t people like the nice tech bro man with the fro and the bling?” And when I told her “because woke America has been neutered of its masculine energy,” she started crying.

Genuinely have never met a white dude who complained about DEI, quotas and affirmative action who wasn't leaking mediocrity from every pore, so this all checks out
this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What?
For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.

it’s sad that the weird shrieking pig people are going to be in charge of some stuff starting in January but they won’t be in charge forever and they won’t be in charge of everything and they’re fundamentally lazy and ignorant and easily discouraged, so I remain hopeful

There’s a vision of free speech where you say “you can’t let the government stop the Nazis from marching.” Then there’s the vision of free speech that says “if I’m not marching with the Nazis I’m letting down free speech.” Techbros seem prone to the latter.

As Kevin McCarthy prepares to exit the stage, I'm reminded of something Michael Gerson wrote last year:

"Whatever his political future, McCarthy will be remembered as his generation's most pathetic, unprincipled and contemptible political figure."
Kevin McCarthy calls it quits, will exit Congress this month
Two months after being ousted as House speaker, Republican Rep. Kevin McCarthy announced that he's quitting Congress altogether.

Remember that the House Speaker does not need to be a member of the House, so even after Kevin McCarthy retires at the end of the year he can continue to not be elected Speaker.
