One of the, many, problems with politics is that normal people don't go to political conventions, own a party membership, or vote in party nominations.

That's why a small motivated group of folks, who are out of step with the majority of Canadians push batshit policies.

Column: Holding down car ownership costs used to be a relatively simple call — buy used, not new — but that advice is losing utility as prices for pre-owned vehicles soar.
Column | The new vs. used car debate is dead. They’re both expensive debt traps.
A record number of buyers — of both new and used vehicles — are locked into monthly payments of $1,000 or more, new data shows.

The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

The past couple days have made it clear that arresting and prosecuting Johnathan Ross isn’t just the right thing to do, it is necessary to prevent future violence by ICE who have interpreted the situation as “we can do that to whoever we want”
A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

17 Republicans defected to join all Democrats in voting for the legislation, after the end of the subsidies sparked the longest-ever federal government shutdown.

Previously, several of these companies, like Apple, IBM, and Disney, have paused advertising on X in response to antisemitic content. But antisemitism on X never slowed, sexual abuse imagery increased, and all of these companies quietly resumed advertising anyways.

Advertisers, politicians, and investors are still all-in on X, despite a sexual abuse crisis.
