Another win for the Democrats.
This time in Alaska, which in and of itself is impressive.

New — I was fortunate to speak in front of students and faculty at Grinnell College in Iowa tonight about the business of independent journalism, the current state of media under Trump 2.0, and billionaire control.

I published my full speech because I thought it might resonate beyond campus:
Truth, morality and independence in journalism under the second Trump regime

This is really embarrassing. And it shows how isolated they have him. The man holding the most powerful office in the history of the world is outside of reality. If Miller told him China launched a nuke… that’d probably be the end of it.

If anything is scary, it’s that.

While the Trump administration hides the Epstein files, another cover-up is unfolding—this time around Trump border czar Tom Homan. Todd Beeton examines the scandal. Plus, Amelia Mavis-Christnot traces the legacy of Wounded Knee, and Jay Kuo explores how fear still shapes American politics.
This Week In The Big Picture
While the Trump administration continues its cover-up of the Epstein files, Trump world is currently engaged in yet another cover-up, which has gotten less attention.

FINAL: Blue Jays 5, Yankees 2

The Toronto Blue Jays are headed to the American League Championship Series. Eight pitchers combined to shut down the Yankees, and a balanced offense overwhelmed New York all series. Game 1 on Sunday at Rogers Centre.

The Yankees fall short again.

Gov. Abbott says that if anyone attacks National Guard troops after Gov. Pritzker’s criticism, Pritzker is an “accomplice.” Interesting. Does Abbott apply the same logic to Donald Trump, who spent weeks “stirring up” the mob that attacked the Capitol on January 6th

Pritzker is showing other Dems how to stand up to fascist bullies.

You don't reach across the aisle and tell them you want to be friends. You don't negotiate with limp-dicked wannabe dictators and terrorists who threaten your freedom.

Fuck you, come and get me.

That's where you start.

It's weird that by picking this fight with Pritzker, Trump just gave political power and national name recognition to one of the only Dems with enough money and high enough approval ratings to make a real run at the White House. This has become JB's moment.

What Governor Pritzker is doing is right for his state, but it is vital for the Republic.

Pritzker: "It's unconscionable. This has never happened before. They're calling out troops onto the streets of a state that doesn't want them and they're not even telling us where they're gonna go, what they're gonna do."

Gov. Pritzker says Trump’s targeting blue strongholds as payback for voting against him, using the National Guard to intimidate.

He’s spot on — and I'd add it sure feels like another distraction from the Epstein case.

Nothing terrifies them more than the truth.

Too bad AG #MerrickGarland didn't take his job as seriously - maybe we wouldn't be here if Jack Smith was brought in earlier and had time to prosecute Trump & Co. (all of them, including sitting Senators and Representatives that violated their oath of office and #RuleOf#Law).

If you haven’t already done so, lease take a minute to call Governor Pritzker’s office and leave him a message of support.

Last year, all 50 governors signed a letter opposing Biden's transfer of Air National Guard troops to Space Force, saying it "disregards gubernatorial authorities."

Now, when it matters most, they are ceding authority and leaving Pritzker, Newsom, and Kotek to fend for themselves.

Pritzker is right. But this is just one piece of the playbook now in motion.

It’s not difficult to see. It’s all been done before

Reichsleiter Miller has a plan. The ICE/army invasion of the cities will provoke a Reichstag event (they’ll create one if needed). Then it all will fall into place👇

Pritzker: "He wants to militarize major cities because he wants us to get used to the idea of troops on the streets. I believe he's gonna post people outside of polling places and if he needs to in order to control those elections, he'll assume control of the ballot boxes & count the votes himself"
