Interesting, I suppose is the word for seeing an ad for private healthcare services during the CBC NYE broadcast (only reason I knew what it was even for - my old boss had it as a perk; no wait times and one location really close to the office)

Joining the movie discourse. Few weeks ago went to see a crap movie but on a Tuesday night. $6.50 entry, had a somewhat reasonably priced beer, theatre was clean and kind of nice (was in The Woodlands tbf). Pleasant experience.

I did not know how badly I needed this (again):
I remember going grocery shopping at Bargain Harold’s when my dad was on strike (for those not from SWO it’s exactly the kind of store you’re guessing). Family trips to SC in a non air conditioned truck to stay in an efficiency and cook most of our own meals. We were solidly upper tier in our city..
Looking at these things and deciding that they’re true is just poison for your understanding of the world, but every day millions of people unlock their phones and nod along.
