This is completely fucking unacceptable. Shut this terrorist government down until it stops brutalizing its own citizens.
Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

Prof. Justin Wolfers warns: a US president has never before threatened a Fed Chair with jail. It has happened in Argentina, Russia, Turkey and Venezuela. That's how strongmen crush institutions, torch currencies and trigger hyperinflation. This path ends badly.

Everyone, move your money the fuck out of the US. Capital controls are a slippery slope. I've got US investments and I'm going to have to think about if and how to move them.
Bessent: "For individuals who want to wire money out of the country, they're gonna have to tick a box whether they are or are not on public assistance. Then we're going to start pushing over the coming days and weeks that if you're on public assistance, you cannot wire money out of the country."

We’re edging closer to a Euromaidan scenario in the U.S. History shows that once repression is normalized, it spreads universally, not selectively, and eventually targets everyone, not just perceived opponents.

We are far past the stage of permissiveness with white-supremacist violence inside DHS. We are witnessing ICE transition into a death squad.

This cannot be reformed. The only question is who will fight to abolish it, and who will accommodate it instead.

It’s time to face facts.

We’re already in the Second American Civil War and we’ve been in it for years now. Continuing to pretend otherwise is only going to lead to more death and suffering.

ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who shot and killed an unarmed civilian, flew a don't-tread-on-me Gadsden flag at his house, per the Daily Mail.

I think about how online audiences have been trained to look for reasons that victims are actually the villains, to recast them as the perpetrators, and how these are the same narratives the state uses to ensure the mechanism of patriarchy—violence, abuse, and murder—continue with impunity.

So to return to this: Mussolini had 200,000 blackshirts for the March on Rome in a country of ~35m. Hitler had 400,000 brownshirts in 1932 in Germany for a population of ~60m.

So around 0.6% of the population.

0.6% of 340m Americans is just over 2 million.

They do not have enough goons.
In 1932, on the eve of seizing power, the Nazi goon army - the Sturmabteiling or SA - numbered 400,000 members. By 1933, it was over two *million.*

DHS has 240,00 employees and lot of those are non-goons who have, you know, real jobs.

⬇️ They are absolutely being trained to do this, and then to claim that they are being threatened and therefore justified in using deadly force. This is almost certainly coming down from Stephen Miller
Something that needs to be elevated is that ICE agents have been instructed to threaten and illegally detain legal observers. It's a criminal conspiracy to deprive Americans of their 1st & 4th amendment rights.

Renee Good isn't the only victim ICE has targeted and won't be the last.
I think it is probably a bad idea to put clearly unhinged, angry psychopaths in federal law enforcement positions.

This is the thing about the "Don't give them the pretext to send in more feds" arguments. The administration is using its own murder of an unarmed civilian as the pretext to send in more agents. They do not need a pretext and will invent them if they want.
