The case for letting people set their accounts to private on bsky has always been a big one, but especially lately with the witchhunts going on. We need to be able to lock down and moderate who is following us. We need to be able to stop people from following us and soft block or remove followers.

This. When I did line editing/proofreading for a legal publication in the 90s, each change had minimum three people's eyes on it (one lawyer, two of us) and usually more like six of us would touch it through the process. For a single, multi-volume publication, 18 of us total. Plus indexer.
I mean I complain about inadequate editing a LOT, because publishers cutting editorial budgets is unfair on editors and authors and readers alike, but inadequate = across the book, not one lousy word JFC

DNF'd a book last night at about 20%. Not because of the crappy editing (so, so bad) but because of lack of story. Genre fiction is supposed to have a story! That's kind of the whole point.

It's wild how many high fantasy series I see recommended which forget entirely that minorities exist. Nevermind adding fat, queer, disabled, BIPOC characters, some of these forget /women/ exist at all
