JFC. No. We don’t want you to find common ground with the fascists. 🤦‍♂️
"It is very clear that, if there is a middle of all of this hot mess of division, Americans want us to work together when we can and find common ground," Sen. Amy Klobuchar tells the Opinion writer Michelle Cottle.

Kansas legislators have proposed two bills prohibiting gender affirming care for minors, including therapy and “social transitioning.” As a therapist w/mostly trans clients, my wife was compelled to go to Topeka to testify in opposition. 1/

I’ve never considered myself especially knowledgeable about politics, I’ve always just tried to stay informed on some level. So it really floors me seeing how many people seem completely blindsided by what’s happening right now. They literally told us what they were going to do beforehand

Here's why we're cooked:

Elon Musk did a Nazi salute from behind the Presidential seal.

Of course the right played defense and claimed it was something else.

And instead of just saying "I don't believe your lies" SO MANY PEOPLE FELT THE NEED TO PROVE IT WAS A NAZI SALUTE!!!

Right into the trap.

Without Mel Brooks hiring Lynch to make THE ELEPHANT MAN — on the strength of ERASERHEAD alone — he is very likely just a guy who made a weird film at AFI. That whole filmography you love doesn’t happen.

We all need sponsors and mentors and patrons. We need people who believe in us.

If you played an instrument back in high school and stopped: we are in a golden age of decent cheap instruments.

The guitars are better, the amps are better. The pedals are cheaper, the wind instruments are actually instruments and not just shaped like them, etc.

Jump back into it.

I could post my word count for the year or my grades or any number of accomplishments, and I am so grateful and proud of them. But truthfully I survived, and if that's all you did this year too, I'm cheering for you, too!

Remember your worth isn't tied to your productivity. That's capitalist crap.

You're not "late to the party" when you enjoy an old book for the first time. Books don't have an RSVP deadline. The party started long ago, and guests show up when they're meant to.

Finally got around to reading Everybody Knows by Jordan Harper last week, and it got me to rethink certain aspects of a story of my own. Now I’m doing a little tinkering and the story will be that much better for it. Ngl I really like that feeling
