The Democrats abandoned Palestine, and every other issue Progressives care about, in favor of Dick Cheney. This brilliant move gained you roughly 7 Conservative votes and cost you over 10,000,000 Progressive votes, which handed the government to the GOP.

But if we want change, ethical stances must have power. That is political.

This isn't a culture war. This is the only trans congresswoman, ever being bullied through the press and legislation, and having only 1 of hundreds of colleagues stand up for her. They can do more than 1 thing at a time. Defending her will not take so much effort that they can't do their jobs.
Defending Sarah McBride is absolutely the right thing to do, and yet there’s also the risk of being baited into yet another culture war cycle that distracts from the Republican grift. Her statement suggests she wants to move forward, and I think it’s wise to take the cue from her.
