Online survey of 997 breast cancer pts:

* 65% had seen false reports that sugar, deodorant, cell phones, vaccines increase risk of cancer progression/recurrence
* 54% had seen false reports that organic food, vitamins, alkaline food decreased risk

It's everywhere.

“Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.”

O rly? This adage contains both genuine wisdom AND great potential for abuse in the context of #chronicpain. Not a useless idea, of course, but problematic.

Suffering with pain is “optional”?
Please never risk implying that people could suffer less with pain if only they were wiser.

There will be a flood of conspiracy theories from both sides about what the DC National Guard shooting "really" was. Except nobody knows exactly what happened or if anyone died, and there are no details about the shooter. Sometimes the proper response is not to respond for a while.

Got off the plane and walked into a drug store in Ottawa and got my COVID vaccine in under 5 minutes. No line up. No appointment. No cost.

Was even asked if I wanted Moderna or Pfizer.

It’s unconscionable that we can’t get this same level of service in Alberta.

With up to 5.8M Canadians waiting in pain, we want solutions but “This is a deep systemic problem” confuses everyone.

We need more:

operating room time, diagnostic equipment and specialists.

Nebulous solutions are useless - define the fix and do it.

Why is our national health agency disputing an inane claim that Tylenol causes autism?

Because TV networks/internet broadcasts whatever that man says 24/7.

I’ve never seen this kind of coverage for anyone and it’s dangerous - why not stop watching? He’d lose so much power.

Alberta announced today the COVID-19 vaccine this fall will cost us $100 per dose.

So for my family of four, that'll be $400.

Alternatively, we could spend $400 on an overnight trip to Golden or Fernie, B.C., get immunized for free, and make a little mountain vacation out of it.
