Exactly. Pressure high.
“ICE needs more training” is an echo of the weak circa 2003 democratic stance that “we need more body armor in Iraq.” It’s a wish washy poll tested bit of pablum meant to appeal to some mythical middle. Like ending the Iraq War the only real position is to abolish ICE.

The issue with ICE is not training, the issue with ICE is that it fundamentally should not exist. The violence is the purpose

Seems there was kind of a big event like a murder at state forces that the officials who are supposed to have our back could give some official words on to comfort us & assure us of their action to dismantle ICE. National democrats (except Ilhan)? Got anything to say? Just collaboration & crickets?

Excellent point from @annabower.bsky.social earlier - this is going to have to make it through a DC court. So... good luck with that

I know. It’s almost satisfying to be right!
It's kinda crazy how right I was about Tulsi Gabbard almost a decade ago.

But to be honest, even I didn't expect just how insanely MAGA and dishonest she would become.

This is accurate as far as history goes for the last several generations. Deficits come down when Democrats have the White House and go up when Republicans have the White House.
The only hope we have for Congress caring about deficits is a Democratic president.

And what are you doing about it?
The executive targets his opponents w/bogus investigations. His government disappears people w/out due process and vanishes them beyond reach. He usurps legislative power, controls public funds at will, & consolidates power. Loyalty is expected — or else.

Authoritarianism isn’t coming. It’s here.
