Progressive, agnostic, ace. She/her. ‘80s alternative music, nature, weather, cats, geology, birder. Retail manager 3+ decades. Trekkie, X-Phile, Whovian = geek.
I would be watching #StrangerThings5pt2 right now if Netflix had any kind of promotional game. Earlier today I went on there to see if it had been released. No info whatsoever, just trailers giving no release time. People are busy, it's a holiday. How was I supposed to know the release time.

Who did not realize that censorship was the goal?
Here is Sharyn Alfonsi’s email to her ‘60 Minutes’ colleagues in full:

This is insane. Measles is no joke. Too many people of the Greatest Generation are gone to set you all straight. My parents were so grateful I could get vaccinated against diseases they had siblings die from.
Uncontrolled measles outbreak in South Carolina is “accelerating” with no end in sight following Thanksgiving gatherings and low vaccination rates. Some unvaccinated kids sick and in isolation / quarantine for a second 21-day period. Preventable. www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...
South Carolina measles outbreak is 'accelerating,' driving hundreds into quarantine
Some students who remain unvaccinated are now in a second 21-day quarantine since the beginning of the school year.

@aldiusa.bsky.social You must realize the Peru organic whole coffee beans are superior to the Honduras beans when stores consistently sell out to the point of having a stack of Honduras left behind. The Peru is gone at my store every grocery trip lately and at $8.19/bag that's sayin something.

An employee told me about this today. Some churches understand their mission.
Well done! A Massachusetts church displayed an “ICE was here” sign in its Nativity scene.

Just destroy the planet. We don’t need it. 🙄
The EPA is moving forward with approvals for pesticides containing “forever chemicals” as an active ingredient, dismissing concerns about health and environmental impacts raised by some scientists and activists.

Here’s what to look out for:
EPA just approved new ‘forever chemical’ pesticides for use on food
Critics warn the EPA’s approvals of new PFAS pesticides could expose more Americans to “forever chemicals” through their food.

America has been destroyed. This is why ICE acts with impunity. They know the federal justice system has been collapsed, so they can kidnap and incarcerate whomever they want.

Finally watching Hazbin Hotel. I had no idea Keith David could sing. What a crazy show. It’s like Disney for adults. And yes, there is singing. Broadway style songs. Disney movie style songs. With cuss words. It’s kinda glorious.

Appropriately strong wording from @NWSChicago AFD regarding the potential for multiple intense bands of lake effect snow tonight into Monday morning.

Extremely heavy snow with zero visibility, high winds, and lightning possible in the strongest bands.

Trees grow naturally in the forest and chainsaws are also not a hoax"...Dr. Marshall Shepherd

One of my "go to" responses to the woefully simplistic retort that climate changes naturally only.

Anyone demanding someone to smile needs to take a long look at themselves, including Target corporate. I'm all for guest service, hell, I've been in the retail industry (yes, it is, but we've been taught not to treat it that way) 40 years as of October 30th, '25, but guest service is simply treating
go folksy go brokesy
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.

I don't know if it's the relief that finally some things in elections went hopeful last night, or if it's the full moon this morning, but today so far has been a lighter, happier day.

The number of replies saying they can’t read the transcript or couldn’t make it very far to read it is striking. Including me.
Ladies and Gentlemen: The President of the United States.
Only about a third of the Trump interview aired on "60 Minutes." CBS has published the transcript of the complete interview here —> www.cbsnews.com/news/read-fu...

Artists behind some of the most popular films of all time are also forging one of the most powerful organized resistances to AI.

With solidarity, class action lawsuits and strong legislation, they're fighting to protect their livelihoods, and pop culture, from big tech.

My latest:
How artists behind Marvel, Alien, and the Matrix movies are fighting AI
With solidarity, legislation, class action lawsuits, and a little help from Guillermo del Toro. Plus, the Luddite Renaissance continues, and I open the mailbag.

Discovered I could actually get a ticket refund for a movie event I bought about a month ago. Minus the service fee of course. Refunds for tickets should be allowed because shit happens or people are just too tired to drive 1 1/2 hrs each way, as is my case tonight. #midwestproblems
