So, I'm about 1/3 through Book 2 - The Great Hunt, and I have to say I kinda hate Rand al'Thor. Everyone else is lovely. Rand annoys me to no end and I find it difficult to empathize with him.
I just started watching Wheel of Time and those first 2 episodes were so wild I bought the first book.

Unfriendly reminder that “this hasn’t happened to ME” does not mean “this doesn’t happen to ANYONE.”
Saying, “Well -I- haven’t experienced it therefore it must not be a thing” is ridiculous.

Amazing to witness the GOP collectively realize they're trapped in a dilemma in which they're totally incapable of walking BACK racism and misogyny - both because it's what they truly believe, and also because no one wants to look like The Cuck Who Walked It Back First

personally I think this election news cycle is amazing. someone tried to assassinate one of the candidates and it immediately got eclipsed by "kamala is brat" and "look at this weird couch-fucker"

And lo Jesus said unto her, "you good, sis?"
When there was one set of footprints in the sand, that was when I tripped and fell but Jesus didn't see and he kept walking for a little bit.

notice that no automakers are talking to drivers about driving less because of this. breathing seems a little more necessary than driving a car but this is framed as if the cars will always be among us and some people have to stop breathing to allow the cars to stay

Every puff from the most commonly prescribed inhaler releases a gas up to 3,000 times more powerful than carbon dioxide. The cumulative effect of inhalers sold in the U.S. equals driving more than a half-million gas-powered cars for a year. So some doctors are talking to patients about alternatives.
Your inhaler saves lives, but its puffs hurt the planet
In an emergency, an inhaler can save a life. But the gas it releases contributes to global warming. Each of the most commonly prescribed inhalers has about the same climate warming impact as driving 1...

It's so frustrating seeing small local theater events using AI generated posters for their shows

"support local artists!*"

*except the ones we would pay for poster designs, we've decided we can't afford that anymore, also you can't get mad at us because we're just small artists uwu 🥺
