Every rich person that sees this should find a Trans person on. This website and send them a thousand dollars because you can and we all need it.

The FDA building having contaminated water and the staff being lied to and ordered to drink it by Republican management is a perfect microcosm of America

Someone clever once said that voting is like getting on a bus rather than ordering a taxi. You choose the bus that gets you the nearest to your destination. There are no taxis to get you exactly where you'd like to be.
Hope that makes sense.

Sometimes it's you
Sometimes it's someone else
Sometimes it's a huge mechanism completely outside your control

Knowing which is which at the right time is a superpower

We should have known we were trans when we started looking forward to soup
“Men don’t really like soup” is gonna rattle around my brain for a long time. I can tell.

We've been spending a lot more time lately working on home stuff and poking at the synthesizer, pretty sure we're enjoying there being less social media time in our days

Didn't really look at the phone all day, spent most of it sitting on the couch with a modular synth in our lap instead 🤷🏻‍♀️

We used to do this with LiveJournal users, we still do it sometimes when we're trying to decide if we want to follow accounts (especially if we're trying to decide if we want to follow *back*)
unfortunately the most enjoyable way for me to use social media continues to be “clicking on a single user’s profile and scrolling through their old posts.” It’s the best way to appreciate a poster’s authorial vision

Unhinged idea: let everyone who receives a notification about a post vote on moderation actions regarding it

Want to evict an account from a service provider? Everyone they've replied to gets to vote about it

Okay, so our current understanding of Bluesky is that it's a Twitter replacement the same way the public internet is a replacement for telephone switchboards operated by hand using patch cables, except the underlying protocol will create a giant collection of such switchboards operated by algorithms

To do terrible things, yes.
But also to be free. Free from the past. And the future.
To be clean.

3. You can't rely on good faith or on product design to keep people behaving well, because there will always be bad actors who use any tool you give them for abuse. Those people need to experience consequences, not to punish them but to protect the rest of the community.
