A perfect read to start into the last advent weekend. It has stories, lore, librarians, a 40 year quest and a happy end. Settle in and enjoy!

Do you need a break from the daily nonsense in the world? a friend who talks to you about lovely things? then you can't go wrong by listening to Emma's podcast. I've yet to come across an episode that isnt a balm for the soul.
Lovelies, here's day 1 of the 2024 Tea and Sanctuary advent calendar. Please excuse the state of my voice! It's the perfect length for a nice cup of tea (or any beverage of your choice). Cosy, low stakes and hopefully soothing. Any boosts greatly appreciated!

I cannot tell your father anymore so I'm telling you @rhi.bsky.social Tiffany has saved me in more ways than I understand yet. The books are were I go when I don't know what to do. Reading them makes me feel understood and the world makes a smidge more sense again. Thank you.

Folks, this is a usability game-changer. Turn it on!

Ok. Let's talk about "Do not obey in advance." I have been recommending Snyder's On Tyranny to many, many people since it came out. I am planning to teach it shortly, too. It's a great book. It is very timely. But it's not perfect.

It seems like forever ago because I was just 23 when I wrote it, but I am still really proud of this story about how Terry Pratchett got involved in the Oblivion modding scene - and why said scene became so important to him in his later years

Perfect read for any season, really, cause the books are excellent. But especially this time of year. I should do a re-read, actually.

And do NOT miss out on the murder husbands. I'm extremely biased here, cause they are my favourites but also, I'm right!
Here's a reminder in this spooky season that I wrote the perfect spooky fantasy

On popular request, I shall now recreate the livetweet thread from that day
