not watching the oscars for the first time in years because we had another baby and the only new movie I’ve watched since then is Moana 2. also I saw that one “penis to vagina” clip from Emilia Pérez and I think I actually died right then and everything since has been an extended death dream

I'd like to see Mikey Madison to win over Demi Moore. And for Animated, I'd like Flow or Inside Out 2 to win. Other than that, I don't think anything besides Emilia Perez winning stuff will be really that disappointing.

Preliminary Oscars thoughts: I really enjoyed Anora & Nickel Boys and really hated A Complete Unknown & Emilia Perez. I did not get to see I'm Still Here.

I think at some point... let's say the first big dot com boom... Super Bowl ads went from big brands reminding you they exist with a clever twist to fledgling brands desperately trying to stunt their way into your hearts. And that desperation always shows through. Every ad break is a flop sweat.
